In WBAN user can move with sensor nodes with same mobility pattern whereas WSN is generally used to be stationary. Energy consumption is much less in WBAN than other WSNs arrangement. In addition WBAN sensor devices are found cheaper than WSNs.

Networks (WBSN) : A WBAN where all nodes (N) are sensors. where all the nodes (N) and hubs (H) are on the human body. WBAN where some N or H are in the human body. The WBAN have many applications, but the medical field is maybe the most important.

The sensors distributed on-body used in human activity recognition (HAR) domain^1,2. A WBAN consists of movable sensors with communication capabilities, managed by a body area networks (BANs) coordinator. Each sensor can be attached to the body³.

On-body communication occurs between wearable devices which consist of sensor nodes. The ISM (Industrial Scientific and Medical) band and UWB (Ultra-wideband) communication can be used only for on-body communication. WBAN requirements: Low power consumption.
